Second Announcement On The Obligation To Submit Negative Pcr Test Result Before Travelling To Turkey
It has been reported that the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which has been associated with the increase of cases in the United Kingdom and mutated, has been isolated from COVID-19 cases in the UK and some other countries. In order to prevent the spread of this New Variant COVID-19, the relevant Turkish authorities have decided to take following measures.
Starting from 29 December 2020, 21:00 UTC hours all flights to/from the United Kingdom, Denmark and South Africa, regardless of aircraft seat configuration, are suspended from/to any Turkish aerodromes.
Starting from 29 December 2020, 21:00 UTC hours all passengers that are 6 years old and older will be required to submit a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result done within the last 72-hours prior to their entry to Turkey.
Passengers that do not show negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result will not be admitted to flight. This requirement is not applicable for transit and transfer passengers.
These measures will be in force until 1 March 2021.
